Hosts Monitoring Geolocation

This documentation page of the LoriotPro Software concerns the WEB interface of the product.

In addition to its graphical interface in Windows™, the LoriotPro software integrates an HTTP server and thus offers a multi-user GUI in a WEB interface. The data collected by the software in SNMP or by other means are accessible via this interface. Numerous charts, histograms, tables, assist you and give you information of states and of performance on the infrastructure monitored.

Terminology reminder: Hosts are devices of all types having an IP address and must be declared in the directory of LoriotPro.

This menu option displays the geographical positioning of a Host.

In the properties of the host , the  Geolocation tab allows to set the GPS coordinate  of it. The position of a host is defined by a longitude and latitude expressed in decimal degrees in the format WGS84 (World Geodetic System) commonly used by the system GPS .

Latitude is a positive value north of the equator between 0 and 90 degrees and negative south of the equator with a value between 0 and -90 degrees.
The longitude is positive to the east of the Greenwich meridian between 0 and 180 degrees and negative west of Greenwich with a value between 0 and -180 degrees.

If this value is entered in the properties of the host then the host will be automatically positioned on the map. To work, this visual requires Internet access service OpenStreetMap .
