Managing the Active View global status

Introduction

The Active View itself has a status that is visible either in the directory tree and in the windows title bar of the Active View.

The status is here to notify you that one or multiple graphical objects of the ActiveView have a change in their status.

In the example below everything is green on the View, the Active View global status is also green

The status of one object on the View become red, then the global status of the view changes also.

How to setup Active View object for a status escalation

By default even if an object become red on a View the global status of the Active View doesn't change.

You need to set up the object in the view that should change the global status.

For each object in the view, you have to change the level assigned to the rule(s) to level 4 for achieving this goal.

In our example we assign the level 4 to the rule that change the object color to red.

Remark that we could have done it also for the Yellow status.

But if a rule at level 4 matches, this will automatically change the global color of the Active View to red.

How to reset the status

At the first error on the Active View the status change to red and it will stay red until you reset it.

In the ActiveView toolbar you should click on the reset button

The Active View status will become green and a Refresh of the directory should also revert the ActiveView status to green.

WARNING: If the condition that generate the red status is still present at the next update of the view for that default object the global status will become red again.

You should first find out why you garphical object is in default before reseting the global status.

In other words, till the condition that generate the red status is present in the view, the ACtiveView global status will stay red.
